October Meeting

The Next Orange County Atheists meeting will take place Wednesday, October 14 at 7:30PM at the International House of Pancakes at 18542 MacArthur Blvd in Irvine, near John Wayne Airport.

Many group members also meet at the El Torito across from the IHOP at 6:30pm for drinks and appetizers. If you can make one or both events, please RSVP here!A map to the IHOP is available here. We'll be meeting in the upstairs meeting room. Please RSVP at this page to let us know you're coming one or both events!

If you all wouldn't mind, I'd like to show up at your meeting and ask you some questions about "coming out" as atheists. I'm writing a magazine article about it for a journalism class. I have been really surprised to hear the flack (and worse) that sometimes comes along with identifying yourself as an atheist and I'd like to hear some personal experiences.

You're welcome to attend, though some members prefer not to talk too personally. But as long as you're polite and open to talking to whoever's open to talking to you, feel free to come!
