June Meeting

The Next Orange County Atheists meeting will take place Wednesday, June 8 at 7:30PM at the International House of Pancakes at 18542 MacArthur Blvd in Irvine, near John Wayne Airport.

Many group members also meet at the El Torito across from the IHOP at 6:30pm for drinks and appetizers. If you can make one or both events, please RSVP here!A map to the IHOP is available here. We'll be meeting in the upstairs meeting room. Please RSVP at this page to let us know you're coming one or both events!

Seriously, I've been wanting to go for months, but I try never to get near an IHOP.

Have you guys thought about a pub?

I bet you'd double your attendance.

Problem with a pub is that we have some under-21 folks. Otherwise, if you can find a location that can seat between 5-40 on one hour's notice (with room to grow if more show up), without a wait, in a private meeting room in the middle of the county, and without a cost, we'll be happy to move =)

If you're considering a move, how about a park and do a bbq? Closer to Orange would be great!

There's nothing wrong with the IHOP, really, and we prefer to do our meetings at night, on weekdays, over dinner, so a park BBQ is out. I'm totally open to other places, but so far haven't found any that meet all of our conditions.

I'll be there! I agree that IHOP's food isn't great, and is overpriced, but we've searched for better places and this IHOP is the best option we have, and they've treated us quite well over the years!
